The exhibition is organized by Fondazione In Between Art Film and presented at Complesso dell'Ospedaletto.

Sisters, Saints, Sybils is conceived as a three-channel installation that draws upon the life of Saint Barbara and the life of Goldin's elder sister Barbara Holly Goldin. This is the second presentation in the itinerant exhibition series Gagosian Open.

The show is dedicated to Serra's 2019 film Liberté. He reinterprets his work by molding the gallery floor into an immersive stage, blending the theatrical and the cinematic.

This group exhibition features artists who have experimented with diaristic forms in video and digital art from the 1970s to the present day. The show was inspired by the work of Lynn Hershman Leeson, who also has a solo exhibition open in the same location.

The British-Nigerian artist is making her debut in Venice with the video Machine Boys, about motorcycle taxi drivers in Lagos. Ashadu previously won the Prize of the Bötterstraße in Bremen in 2022.
