Wael Shawky has a film about Pompeii showing at Palazzo Grimani

The film, titled I Am Hymns of the New Temples, was a commission from the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. Shawky's exhibition is part of the Venice Biennale.

Karimah Ashadu wins Silver Lion at Venice Biennale

The British-Nigerian artist is making her debut in Venice with the video Machine Boys, about motorcycle taxi drivers in Lagos. Ashadu previously won the Prize of the Bötterstraße in Bremen in 2022.
