International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) and V2_ Lab for the Unstable Media are excited to launch an open call for a hybrid residency from November 2024, culminating in an exhibition at V2_ during IFFR 2025. We invite applications from media artists interested in exploring film and from filmmakers eager to investigate media arts.

This initiative is designed to encourage artists to step beyond their usual scope and challenge themselves to venture into new creative directions within the crossover between filmmaking and media arts. This is an opportunity to experiment, grow and be showcased at two leading institutions dedicated to fostering creativity and transformation.

Submit your application and join us in this unique endeavour to bridge the worlds of film and media arts, and to create groundbreaking work that transcends formal boundaries.

We welcome applications from all who are interested. Everyone is welcome regardless of their ethnicity, economic or cultural background, religious beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status and whether or not they have a disability.
